BARBERA

BARBERA: A red grape variety originating from Piedmont, Italy. Known for its lively acidity and rich fruit aromas. It is often used to make fresh, medium to full-bodied red wines.

VINIFICATION: After the spring frost of 2021, less than 1 kg of grapes per vine remained, which later contributed to the richness of the flavor and excellent tannin maturity. Harvesting took place in early October at optimal phenolic ripeness and aromas of ripe fruit. After destemming, the maceration took place in 500L rotary barrels, lasting 21 days. After pressing and malolactic fermentation, the wine matured for 18 months in new 228L French oak barrels. The wine was bottled in August 2022.

TASTE: Juicy aromas of red fruits such as cherries, blackberries, and plums, with delicate notes of vanilla, spices, and a subtle touch of wood. The wine is medium to full-bodied, with balanced tannins and vibrant acidity, giving it freshness and elegance.
